Miele does not collect personal data without your consent.

1. Use of personal data

Miele collects your personal data, such as name, address, e-mail address, telephone and fax only for the purpose for which you provided it (e.g. to apply for a job, to send a prospectus or other printed material ). This data is used to meet your requests and to be able to continually improve our services. Your personal data will only be used within the Miele group and from corporate partners who are authorized by us to process your information and satisfy your wishes. Miele protects the confidentially your personal data. The protection of your personal data is always in compliance with the applicable laws of the country where the website you have visited is located.

2.Technologies

Miele uses Internet technologies (such as cookies, javascript) to make Internet applications easier to use. To improve the attractiveness of the site, information is automatically saved in a limited number of cases (e.g. browser operating system, click count, average time spent per page) . Miele Service Certificate (Miele Warranty Extension)

The following contractual terms apply

I. Duration and commencement of coverage

1. MIELE HELLAS provides a 2-year warranty from the date of purchase of the product. With the Miele Service Certificate, Miele ( country of the subsidiary company where the sale was made) covers repair costs for one (MSC 1), three (MSC 5) or eight (MSC 10) extra years, immediately after the warranty period. The validity period is shown on the front of the certificate.

2. The one-year Miele Service Certificate is extended automatically for twelve (12) months up to ten (10) years more from the date of purchase of the product. The contract shall be automatically canceled after the end of that period. It may also be canceled in writing at the latest one month before the end of the annual coverage period beginning on the first day of validity / renewal. The automatic extension shall take effect if the customer pays the invoice received at the beginning of the warranty extension period within the specified payment deadline.

3. The duration of a previously issued MSC 5 may be extended up to ten (10) years within the coverage period of the certificate (MSC 5 + 5).

4. Miele has the right to readjust prices at any time. When purchasing a Miele Service Certificate, the prices of the current price list at the time of the transaction shall apply. Changes in the one year Miele Service Certificate (MSC1) prices ​​may be observed on the annual invoice. Advance information in writing will not be provided. If the invoice is paid within the due date, it is considered that the price change has been accepted. If no payment is made, the validity of the Certificate does not begin.

5. All prices include VAT. No costs are charged for sending the Miele Service Certificate.

6. Depending on the way the order was made, the certificate is either provided by the technician on site or sent by e-mail or post.

7. Repairing the appliance or supplying spare parts does not prolong the period of validity of the contract.

II. Prerequisites

1. The purchase of the appliance has been carried out by an authorized specialized retailer or directly by Miele in an EU country, Switzerland or Norway.

2. When purchasing the Miele Service Certificate, the place of residence and location of the product are in Cyprus.

3. The certificate is valid only for a specific Miele appliance and is personal and non-transferable.

4. If the ownership of the machine changes or if the owner moves to another address, Miele must be notified so that the certificate may remain valid.

5. The certificate must be registered and received within the two-year warranty period of the appliance. The one-year Miele Service Certificate can also be obtained directly during a Miele service visit for maintenance purposes for appliances up to ten (10) years old.

6. Services under the certificate will only be provided in the EU countries, Switzerland and Norway.

7. If requested by Miele, proof of the purchase and the certificate must be provided, which must indicate the name and address of the customer.

8. Appliances accompanied by a certificate are intended for non-commercial use only.

9. The Miele Service Certificate is not issued for coffee machines. Special service offers apply to coffee machines.

III. Coverage and scope

1. Mechanical defects will be repaired free of charge within a reasonable period of time by repairing or replacing the problem parts. MIELE HELLAS will bear all transportation, technical, labor and spare part costs. MIELE HELLAS acquires the ownership of the spare parts or appliances to be replaced.

2. Services under the certificate can only be provided by service technicians authorized by MIΕLE HELLAS.

3. If the repair of the appliance entails a particularly high cost compared to its value or is impossible, the customer will receive an identical or equivalent new appliance. Alternatively, if the customer so requests, the corresponding current market value of the appliance may be paid to him / her. If Miele pays the current commercial value of the appliance, the certificate is canceled. If the appliance is replaced, the remainder of the coverage period provided for in the certificate is transferred to the new product.

4. The Miele Service Certificate does not cover any additional claim for damages against MIELE HELLAS, unless any damage is due to gross negligence or willful misconduct of the MIELE HELLAS authorized service technician or if there is liability for fatal injury, bodily harm or damage to health.

5. This Agreement does not cover the supply of consumables and accessories.

IV. Limitations

The Miele Service Certificate does not cover repair costs if a defect is due to the following:

1. Improper installation, e.g. non-compliance with relevant safety regulations and written operating and installation instructions.

2. Improper use and operation, such as the use of unsuitable detergents or chemicals.

3. The appliance was purchased in a state other that an EU Member State, Switzerland or Norway and was not suitable for use or was subject to usage restrictions due to different technical specifications.

4. External factors such as damage caused by transport, impact and vibration, adverse weather conditions or natural phenomena.

5. Repairs or modifications not carried out by trained and authorized Miele technicians.

6. Use of non-original Miele spare parts or accessories approved by Miele.

7. Breakage of crystals and defective lamps.

8. Changes in the electrical supply that exceed the tolerance limits declared by the manufacturer.

9. Failure to carry out cleaning and care work in accordance with the operating instructions.

V. Data protection

Personal data will only be used to fulfill the contractual obligations in full compliance with data protection legislation Law 125 (I) / 2018

VI. Right to terminate the contract

You have the right to terminate this contract within 14 days without citing a reason. This right shall be terminated 14 days after the conclusion of the contract.

In order to terminate the contract within the deadline, it is sufficient to send your statement about the exercise of the right to terminate the contract before the end of the period of validity.

Outcome of a complaint

If you terminate this contract, we will refund any amount you have paid to us, including delivery costs (excluding any additional costs that may have accrued if you have not selected the most economical basic delivery type we offer) without unnecessary delays and, in any case, within 14 days of the date we become aware of your decision to terminate this contract. We will make this refund in the same way you have used for the original transaction unless you explicitly agree to different payment terms. In any case, you will not be charged for this refund.

If you have asked us to start providing services during the period of validity of the right of termination without citing a reason, you must pay us the value of the services you have been provided with until you notify us of the termination of this contract, as compared to its full coverage.

Contractual terms of the Comfort Box Certificate for Vacuum Cleaners

I. Duration and commencement of coverage

1. Miele provides a 2-year warranty from the date of purchase. With the ComfortBox for Vacuum Cleaners Certificate, MIELE HELLAS covers repair costs for up to three (3) additional years immediately after the end of the warranty period. The time of validity is shown on the front of the certificate.

2. Repair of the machine or the supply of spare parts does not prolong the period of validity of the contract.

II. Conditions of Validity

1. The purchase of the appliance has been carried out from an authorized specialized retailer or directly by Miele in an EU country, Switzerland or Norway.

2. At the time of purchasing the Comfort Box for vacuum cleaners, the customer's place of residence and the place of operation of the appliance are in Cyprus.

3. The Comfort Box certificate for vacuum cleaners only applies to a specific Miele appliance and is not transferable.

4. The Comfort Box certificate for vacuum cleaners must be registered and received within the two-year warranty period of the machine.

5. Services under the Comfort Box Certificate for Vacuum Cleaners will only be provided in the EU, Switzerland and Norway.

6. If dust bags that are not marked as a "genuine Miele spare part" are used, the service contract ceases to apply.

7. If requested by Miele, the proof of purchase and the certificate must be displayed, which must indicate the name and address of the customer.

8. The products accompanied by the certificate are for non-commercial use only.

III. Coverage and scope

1. Mechanical defects will be restored free of charge within a reasonable time by repairing or replacing faulty components. MIELE HELLAS undertakes all the costs of transporting the appliance, the visit of the technician, labor and spare parts. MIELE HELLAS acquires the ownership of spare parts or parts that have been replaced.

2. Services under the Comfort Box for vacuum cleaners will only be provided by service technicians authorized by MIELE HELLAS .

3. If the repair of the machine is too costly or impossible, it will be replaced with the same or equivalent new appliance. Alternatively, if the customer so requests, the current market value of the machine may be paid to him / her. If Miele pays the customer the current commercial value of the appliance, the Comfort Box Vacuum Cleaner Certificate will cease to apply. If the machine is replaced, the rest of the cover provided in the Comfort Box certificate for vacuum cleaners is transferred to the new product.

4.The Comfort Box certificate for vacuum cleaners does not cover any claim for compensation against MIELE HELLAS other than claims for compensation for death, personal injury or damage to health. due to deceit or gross negligence.

5. This contract does not cover the supply of operating facilities, consumables and accessories.

IV. Limitations

The Comfort Box Certificate for Vacuum Cleaners does not cover repair costs if a defect is due to the following:

1. Incorrect installation, e.g. non-compliance with relevant safety regulations and written operating and installation instructions.

2. Inappropriate use and handling, such as the use of wrong dust and filter bags, damage caused by the installation of spare parts from other manufacturers, or damage caused by liquid entering the appliance, construction dust or toner.

3. If the machine was purchased in a country other than an EU Member State, Switzerland or Norway and is not suitable for use in its country of operation or is subject to usage restrictions due to different technical specifications.

4. External factors such as damage caused by transport, impact and vibration, adverse weather conditions or natural phenomena have occurred.

5. Repairs or modifications not carried out by trained and authorized Miele technicians.

6. Use of non-original Miele spare parts or accessories approved by Miele.

7. Damage to accessories not approved by Miele.

8. Electrical voltage fluctuations that exceed the tolerance limits specified by the manufacturer.

9. Failure to carry out cleaning and care work in accordance with operating instructions.

V. Data protection

Personal data will only be used to fulfill the obligations under the contract, in full compliance with applicable data protection laws.
